McNamara, Thomas Edward, age 93. Loving Husband of Mary (nee Shevlin) for 69 years. Devoted son of the late John and Bessie (nee Burke), natives of Louisburg, Co Mayo, Ireland. Beloved father of Mariann (George) Curran, Peggy (Brian) Fergus, Susan (Shay) Hogan, Cathy (Ed) Featherstone, Tom (Dee), Patti (Joe, CFD) McDonagh, and Bob (Jeannie). Adored grandfather to Meghan and Katie Curran; Molly (Rob) Youllar and Kevin Fergus; Sarah and Michael Hogan; Bess (fiancé Ian McGuire), Caroline and Austin Featherstone; Conor, Tim and Cara and his special buddy the late Patrick Thomas "Pat Mac" McNamara; Brian, Tom, John (USMC), and Emmett McDonagh; Thomas "TJ", Lila, Barry, and John McNamara. Dear brother of the late Austin (late Alice) and the late Mary West. Favorite Brother-in-Law to Peggy (Don) Launius and the late Mike (late Kay) Shevlin. Treasured uncle, cousin, and friend to many. Veteran of the United States Navy. Past President of the Shamrock American Club. Founding member and the first Treasurer of the Irish American Heritage Center. Proud member of the Shannon Rovers Irish Pipe Band. Tom was a lifelong Chicagoan who enjoyed 20 years of retirement at Apple Canyon Lake providing priceless memories for his family. Always the life of the party, Tom entertained countless friends and relatives with his favorite Irish songs and show tunes. He never met a microphone he didn't like. Heaven's doors have surely swung open for Tom.

Visitation Sunday from 3-5 p.m. at. St. Juliana Church. Funeral Monday 10:30 a.m. at St. Juliana Church. Interment private.
