Terrence P. O'Neill age 62, known by all as "Terry" passed away on Thursday the 28th of January 2021 at Mt. Sinai Hospital after a 9 year battle with cancer. He is preceded in death by his parents John (CPD) & Lorraine (Wolf), and his sister Maureen O'Neill.  Terry was born March 2nd 1958 in Chicago and he spent much of his youth on the north side of the city where he attended St. Hilary Grammar School and Mather High School before starting his professional career.  Terry had many accomplishments throughout his career. Most recently at Clear Channel Outdoor, where he displayed a wonderful knack for solving problems; and before that at the Chicago Board of trade. But if you knew Terry, then you would know that his passion for serving others started with his first job at The Chicago Park District as a Life Guard at Hardigan Beach which led to him claiming the rank of Mate. Terry lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures from spending time with family to traveling across the globe, Terry was always on the move. While his love for travel was strong, he was equally happy spending time with friends in his neighborhood, the original Little Italy which he had known and cherished for over 30 years. His legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone he interacted with throughout his life.  He is survived by his brothers and sisters John, Peggy, Michael (Ret. CPD) Denise, and Kathy O'Neill; uncle to Tim and Brian Briscoe, Meghan (Chris) Montcalm, Katie (Anthony) Rice, and Michael O'Neill Jr., Great uncle to Tommy, Jack and Billy Montcalm and Madeline Rice.  Family, friends and others whose lives Terry touched are invited to Cooney Funeral Home located at 3918 W.
