Simprose (Sam) R. Cole, 76, of Riverview, Florida, passed away on November 16, 2019, surrounded by his family and friends. Beloved husband of the late Phyllis B. Cole, loving dad of Lorrie, Kimberly and Sammy. His beloved Maltese -Sebastian. Grandpa of Jonathan Rhoden, Stephanie Rhoden (Rob) and Ashley Tirado (Pedro). Great-Grandpa to Abby Holmes, Nicole Murphy, Nora Murphy and Elijah Tirado. Sisters, Nina Atkiels (Terry), Connie Cole (Joey), Delores Carlson and Victoria Timosan. Nieces and Nephews, the late Janet Donehey, Bill Atkiels (Margot), Mike Atkiels (Alison), Jeannie Emerson (Tom), Carla Leo and Gretchen Timosan. Great Nieces and Nephews, Teddy Brennan, Terry Brennan, Timmy Brennan (Tessa), William Atkiels, Matthew Bauerle, Michael Atkiels, Rhyse Donehey and Kiersten Donehey. Sam retired from the grocery industry after 30 plus years.

Sam was dedicated to his country, he retired from the Army after 27 years of service; 6 years active working on the DMZ in Korea and 21 years in the Army reserve.

Sam enjoyed fishing, building models and mostly the Chicago Bears. Sam's fun-loving spirit will be missed by all.

Viewing service will be held for family and friends on November 21, 2019, 3pm - 8pm at Cooney Funeral Home, 3918 W Irving Park Rd, Chicago, IL 60618.
