Sally E. Dossett (nee Finnegan), aged 72, passed away on September 17th surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in Chicago, Sally made her mark on many communities; most notably she was an active member in St. Ita's parish. As a strong matriarch, she always brought family and friends together with great food, unforgettable stories, and endless laughs. Sally is survived by her husband Thomas Larry Dossett; children Ben Dosset (Christine), Sandy Nelson (Richie), and Tina Rivera (Roberto); grandchildren Dillon Dossett, Shannon Dossett, Shane Dossett, Jasper Nelson, Delaney Dossett, Bobby Rivera, Fiona Dossett, and Tony Rivera, Julianna Rivera, Alana Rivera, and Manny Rivera. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Hannah Finnegan; and siblings James Finnegan, Mary Gallup, Billy Finnegan, Peggy Levan, Noreen Ato, and John Finnegan. She was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews and loving sister in law to many. Visitation is scheduled from 3-7 pm on Tuesday at Cooney Funeral Home on Irving Park Road in Chicago. The funeral service will begin at 6:30pm that evening. At 10:00am on Wednesday there will be a final goodbye at Cooney funeral home and then a procession to All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines for burial.
