Ruth Alice Gibisch, b. March 22, 1924, died peacefully of old age in Chicago  Feb. 11, 2014.  Daughter of Carl and Clara (Hansen) Carlsen, preceded in death by her parents, infant brother Leroy, infant sister Dorothy, sister Evelyn Schroeder, and brother Robert.  She is survived by her husband, George William, sons Philip (Cheryl) and James, grandchildren Christopher, Jeffrey (Elizabeth), Corey and Jennifer, and great-grandchildren Kody Erwin, Lana and Emory Gibisch, and sister-in-law Doris Carlsen.  Ruth was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker who will be deeply missed by all.
