Richard Allen Landgraff, Ret. CPD, (78), of Chicago passed away peacefully after a short, heart-breaking illness.  Richard served the City of Chicago for 38 years, 36 as a Chicago Police Detective.  Preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Ada "Cel" (Hollister) Landgraff.  Loving husband of Bernadette Foley (Ret. CPD), beloved brother of Nancy (Gary) Eggert and Judith Bettinger, and uncle to Wendy, Bonnie, Eric and Kelly.  Richard was a great supporter of the theater and music in Chicago and was always up for an adventure with friends.  A man who charted his own course in life, finding a way to help and protect those who needed it.  Visitation will be on Wednesday, 29 October from 3 PM to 8 PM at Cooney Funeral Home , 625 Busse Hwy, Park Ridge.  Funeral mass will be on 30 October at 1030 AM with visitation from 10-1030 AM at St. Edward's Church 4350 W. Sunnyside, Chicago.
