Richard Eugene Bechtold, age 93 of Longboat Key Florida, formerly of Park Ridge.  Loving husband of 49 years to the late Jacqualyn and 10 years to the late Nancy.  Beloved father to Greg (June), Scott (Marion), and Chris (Sara).  Brother to Dorothy (late Frank) Rhoades and late Karl. Grandfather to Taylor (Shannon), Brittany (Rick), Ashley (Dallas), Jordyn, Michael (Jessica), Kasey, Kelsey, Mark, Jacqualyn.  Great Grandfather to TJ, Kaia, Alexa, Jackson and Michael.  Avid golfer and longtime member of the River Forest Country Club and the Longboat Key Club.  Veteran of the US Navy during WWII. Accomplished Jazz pianist first playing publically during the 1933 Chicago World's Fair. Visitation Friday February 5, 2016 from 4 to 9pm at Cooney Funeral Home, 625 N Busse Hwy, Park Ridge.  Funeral 10am Saturday February 6, 2016 with internment to follow at Maine Township Cemetery, 2101 W Touhy Ave, Park Ridge.   In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity.
