Ray Javers, our "Legend" lost his battle with the illness, transverse myelitis, that left him unable to walk and in the end without his voice, died peacefully at home on Friday morning, February 5, 2021.

Deeply saddened, missing his love, genuine smile and his concern is his wife Denise (nee Wieczozek), his precious daughter Amanda, and his son Ray (Jenna) Javers.

Granddad to Austin, Maxwell, and Primrose; fond brother in ;law to Debbie and Wayne (recently deceased) Wieczozek, Allen Wieczozek, and uncle to David and the late Victoria; companion to man's best friend Hazelnut his most loyal pup to the end!

Ray of Ray's Tap in Chicago for over 38 years retired in 2011 leaving many friends who were a second family over the years. Winning his last bet to his best friend Dean Benson who recently passed, who would be last man standing, will always be in his heart.

We will miss him at the pool in the summer, in his garden, and in the fall at the Notre Dame games...and everyday of the year. God Speed Ray--We Love You!

Visitation will be held on Monday from 3:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Cooney Funeral Home located at 625 Busse Hwy. in Park Ridge.
