Patrick B. Mullaghy, native of Taugheen, Claremorris, County Mayo, Ireland, passed away March 8th peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Nancy (nee Gibbons) for 62 years. Cherished father to Patrick (Cathy), Maureen (Edward) Even, John (Kathleen), Eileen (Robert) Rahlfs, Kathleen (Kevin) Moriarty, Ann (Daryl) McNabb, James (Erin), Christine (Daniel) Lawlor, and Francis (Kate). Proud Papa of 27 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Dear brother of Thomas, Ann, the late Fr. Frank, Mary, James, Sr. Catherine, and John. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews near and far. Retired Lieutenant of the Chicago Fire Department after 28 years of service, member of the Chicago Firefighters Union Local #2. Proud member of the Brotherhood of the Barrel and the Northside Fire Brigade.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Cooney Funeral Home located at 625 Busse Hwy. in Park Ridge. Funeral Monday, prayers at 9:15 a.m. going to Saint Hilary Church at Saint Padre Pio Parish for funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment All Saints Cemetery.
