Patrick Martensen, 56, of Chicago, IL passed away on July 19, 2022, at Ascension Resurrection Hospital in Chicago. He was born on March 17, 1966, in Chicago the son of the late Bernard Martensen and late Margaret Mary Martensen (nee Mitchell). Beloved husband of Cindy Martensen (nee Plambeck) and adored father of Katie and Bernadette. Brother of Mary Ellen (Thomas) Donlon, Bernard Jr. Martensen, Christopher (Eileen) Martensen, Catherine Ann (John) O'Shea, and James Martensen. Uncle of Kelly (John) Capesius and Thomas (Maureen) Donlon, Ryan Martensen, Christopher (Hannah) Martensen, Matthew (Megan) Martensen, Connor Martensen, Quinn (Kiley) Martensen and Anna Martensen, Margaret Mary (Marc) Castiglione and James Doyle, James Mahoney.  Son-in-law of the late Gerald Plambeck and Anita Plambeck (nee Troeger). Brother-in-law to Christine (Robert) Wrenn, Marianne Hall, Suzanne Plambeck, Shari (Brian) Springer, Laura Plambeck, Anita (Mike) Kube, Karen (John) Laslie, Gerald (Mary) Plambeck, Katherine (Kerry) Knott. Uncle to many more nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Cooney Funeral Home located at 625 Busse Hwy. in Park Ridge.
