Nicholas John Sherbula, a 60 year resident of Park Ridge, passed away January 13, 2021 at age 96. Born November 24, 1924 in Blue Island to Stanley and Mary Sherbula. Nick grew up in Chicago, was a decorated World War II Veteran, and had a career with the IRS, retiring in 1979. Loving husband of the late Vera (nee Borsic). Loving father to Carol S. Murray (Stephen) of Arlington Heights, Jean S. Williams (Ronald) of West Chicago, and the late David Sherbula (Dawn Wisinewski). Grandfather to Nicholas S. Murray (Katy) of San Francisco, CA, Andrew S. Murray (Nicole) of San Carlos, CA, Ashley Anne Siepl (Michael) of Woodstock, IL., Emeric (Rick) Sherbula of Vernon Hills, IL., Kathryn Williams of Worden, IL., and Jonathan Williams of Raleigh, NC. Great grandfather to Keira and Zoe Murray, Kelsey and Connor Murray, Henry Siepl and Chase Elliott. Nick was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Vera (2007), his son David (2019) his brother George, his sisters Virginia Moxley and Dolores and his grandson Jeffrey Williams.

Nick enjoyed time with his family, and time spent at his lake cottage in Wisconsin. He and Vera enjoyed cruises and  travel, both domestic and international.
