Nancy Jane Gaughan (nee Garey) peacefully passed away on January 25, 2021 after a three month struggle with a series of health challenges. She will always be remembered as making everyone in her presence happy. She was the cherished mother of 3 children: Jim, Susan, and John, and their spouses, Ann Hoffmann, Arthur Nolan, and Laura Gaughan. She was the devoted wife of James Gaughan who passed away nearly 30 years ago, and the loving daughter of William and Florence Garey (deceased). She was the dear sister to Sue Garey and Richard Garey (deceased), and sister-in-law to the Honorable Vincent Gaughan, Linda Flores, John Gaughan (deceased), Barbara Gaughan, Mary Jane and James Cunningham (both deceased) and Eileen Garey. She was the proud grandmother of 7 grandchildren:  Abby, Hannah, Thomas, John, Aidan, Maggie, and Michael. Nancy was a beloved Aunt to Rick Garey, Mike Garey (deceased), Brian Gaughan, Kevin Gaughan, Dennis Gaughan, Edward Cunningham, Margaret Zelasko (deceased), Patsy Chambers, and Vincent Cunningham.  And a close and treasured friend to so many.

Visitation Friday from 10 – 11 am at Cooney Funeral Home (625 Busse Highway, Park Ridge), Funeral Mass 11:30 am at St. Juliana Church (7201 N. Oketo on Chicago's far Northwest side), followed by a Graveside service at approximately 1:00 pm at All Saints Cemetery (700 N.
