Nancy Berg-- It is with great sadness that the family of Nancy Claire Berg announces her passing after a brief battle with cancer. Nancy Berg, 70, of Park Ridge, passed away peacefully on October 6th, 2020, with family by her side. She was born to the late Edward and Genevieve Thompson, April 7th, 1950, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from Niles East High School in 1969. She married the late Douglas Berg on March 20th, 1975, and they lived together in Chicago before relocating to Park Ridge, where they spent the rest of their lives together. Nancy will be lovingly remembered by her children, Kenneth (Jennifer) and Elizabeth. Nancy will also be fondly remembered by her two grandchildren, Alyssa and Trevor, by her brothers, Richard (Joyce) Thompson, and Robert (Linda) Thompson. Nancy was preceded in death by her brother Edward Thompson. Visitation for Nancy will be held on Saturday from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. at Cooney Funeral Home located at 625 Busse Hwy in Park Ridge in remembrance of her life. Interment private.
