Monica F. Ward, 87 (nee McNelis) of Chicago, born in Teelin, Co. Donegal, Ireland, passed away peacefully in her home on September 19, 2021. Beloved wife of the late John; loving mother of John P., Michael J. (Anh), Mary Therese (Rick) Williams and Brian (Julie) Ward; proud Nana of Emily (Dan) Brennan, Aidan, Colleen and Claire Williams, Lauren, Mark, Lila and Maggie Ward; survived by four of her fourteen siblings, Rose Cunningham, Sean McNelis, Phyllis Stupur, Kevin McNelis; fond aunt to many nieces and nephews, adored by all who knew her. Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Cooney Funeral Home located at 625 Busse Hwy. in Park Ridge.
