Michael W. McMahon—Age 77. Beloved husband of 41 years to Linda (nee Danhoff); loving father to Colleen McMahon; fond brother to Margaret Sabala; adored brother in law to Kathleen Mahoney, Maureen and Richard Luksa, and Cindy Mammoser; loving uncle to many nieces and nephews; good neighbor in Edison Park, and long time friend to Donald. Preceded in death by his mother Margaret, brothers James and Thomas, and sister Jeannie.

Michael was a Retired CPD Sergeant of 27 years, former FOP, member of the Emerald Society of Illinois, and Retired Police Association.

He was a Veteran of the United States Army from 1967-1969 and a current member of American Legion Post 541 Edison Park.

He attended St. Vincent's Orphanage in Freeport, IL from 1953-1958.

Michael's many hobbies included fishing, playing the horses and lottery, playing cards, and he was an avid fan to the Chicago Cubs, Bears, and Blackhawks. He was a lover of all things flamingo.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 3:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Cooney Funeral Home located at 625 Busse Hwy. in Park Ridge. Funeral Saturday, prayers at 10:30 a.m. going to Immaculate Conception Church for Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
