Michael "Gator" Busa passed away on Sunday August 8th 2021 surrounded by his immediate family. He was born to parents Carmen and Ruth Busa who preceded him in death. In life he was a proud union bricklayer for the City of Chicago. He leaves behind his loving partner in life Christine Swinton, his son Michael (Kelly) Busa, his daughter Jessica (Dave) Mannon, and step son Scott Swinton. Devoted grandfather of Abigail, Matthew, Andrew, Rylan, and Kaiden. Dear brother of the late Mary and (Tom) Malcheski, Rita (Dan) Dearth, and Barbara Gorman. Cherished Uncle, Cousin, and friend to many. In life Mike "Gator" was an avid sports fan who enjoyed cheering on the Cubs, Blackhawks, Bears, and Florida Gators. He spent his retirement years cherishing moments with Chrissy whom he fondly referred to as "The Flying One" and the rest of his beloved family. He enjoyed participating in many fantasy sports leagues, and when the weather was good you could always find Mike out on the golf course.

A memorial visitation will be held Thursday, August 12th, from 2:00 pm until the time of the service at 6:30 pm at Cooney Funeral home 625 Busse Hwy Park Ridge.
