Michael Gene Bownan, age 63, passed away suddenly from a heart attack on Thursday, January 31st 2019. Michael grew up in Weyworth, OH. He graduated from UC Berkeley with his Bachelors and received his Master's from Ohio State University, both degrees in Japanese. He was most recently employed at EMJ Metals in Schaumburg. Loving father of Naomi Bowman; dear brother of Karen Bowman, David Bowman and Vicki Bowman Earl; uncle to Erin (Todd) Leonard Goodwin and her children Gabriel and Gracie Goodwin. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Naomi (Vulgamore) Bowman, his paternal grandparents, Jesse and Letha (Wightman) Bowman, and his maternal grandparents, Charles and Ethel (Pettit) Vulvamore. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, February 16 from 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m., followed by a service at 5:00 p.m. For information please call 847-685-1002 or visit www.cooneyfuneralhome.com
