Maura C. Keane (nee Dagg) passed away peacefully at home on December 22, 2023. Beloved wife of the late John "Jack" Keane, dearest mother of Brian (Barbara), Kathleen (Joseph) Schmidt and the late Maureen and John; devoted daughter of the late John and the late Mary Dagg; dear sister of the late Sean (Mary), the late Una (the late Michael) O'Sullivan, the late Nancy (the late Jimmy) O'Brien, the late Cathy (Cyril) Greally.  Fond aunt to many nieces and nephews, Godmother and friend to all that knew her. Maura worked many years at The Zimmerman Brush Company and later at O'Hare International Airport Department of Aviation. Maura was past secretary of the John McGinty 32 Social Club and guild member of The Mother Teresa Guild St Paul of the Cross Church. Special note of gratification to the Doctors, nurses and therapists at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital especially the 6W Rehabilitation Unit, to Aspire Home Health and most recently SunCrest Hospice .Visitation will be held on Thursday December 28, from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Cooney Funeral Home, 625 Busse Hwy, Park Ridge, Funeral Services will be held on Friday December 29, prayers at Cooney Funeral Home 11:00am going to St. Paul of the Cross Church for 11:30am mass. Interment All Saints Cemetery, 700 N. River Rd, Des Plaines, IL.   Native of Newtown, Nenagh, County Tipperary, Ireland. In lieu of flowers, donations to the ALS foundation or the Mary Keane Epilepsy Foundation are appreciated.
