Matthew John Jostock, 67 years old of Crystal Lake, IL,  passed away unexpectedly on Christmas Day, 2023. Born  in Chicago, IL, the son of Henry and Cecelia (nee Young) Jostock and lived in Crystal Lake, IL, since 2002. Matt worked as a National Service Director for Weber Marking Systems for thirty years before leaving to pursue other interests. Survivors include his brother Eric (Donna) Jostock of Chicago and his sister Valerie Jostock of Seattle in addition to many other relatives, neighbors, colleagues and friends and his beloved dog, Sonja. Matt was an amazing person and a terrific friend. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and compassion, generosity and goodwill, and most importantly, friendship and love. He will be incredibly missed by all those who were lucky enough to know him and love him. May he rest in peace. Matt was preceded in death by his father Henry Jostock and his mother Cecelia Jostock and both sets of grandparents. Visitation will be held from 4:00pm until 8:00pm Wednesday, January 3 rd , at Cooney Funeral Home at 625 Busse Hwy. in Park Ridge. Funeral Thursday January 4, prayers at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home, going to St. Paul of the Cross Church for 10 a.m. Mass.  Interment will follow at  All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital would be appreciated.
