Mary "Maureen" M. Schwarz, 88, died peacefully on Saturday, September 23rd. surrounded by her family. Mary was born February 21,1935 to Stephen and Barbara (Griffin) Sullivan in London, England. After the war broke out Mary and her family moved back to the family home in Rosmuc, County Galway, Ireland. Beloved wife of the late Hans E. Schwarz. Loving mother to Anneliese (Thomas) Smolic and Maureen Malecki.  Devoted grandmother (aka Gaga) to Hans (Karyn), Daniel (Katie), and Matthew Smolic.  Great grandmother to Jack, Alex and Austin. Dear sister to the late Patrick Sullivan, Steven (Maureen) Sullivan, Annie (the late Tommy) Ffrench,  the late Thomas (Ann) Sullivan, Michael (Paula) Sullivan, Brid (Jim) Walsh, and Barbara (the late Sean) Nee.  Fond aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Mary dedicated her life to family and friends. She love spending time with her children, grandchildren and their families.  She had a successful career of 50 years with Louis Glunz Beers. After retirement she was fortunate to travel. Going  "back home" to Ireland several times where she was able to spend treasured time with her family,   Always enjoyed getting together with "the club girls" for lunch, dinner or a trip to the gambling boat. At the the of a good day she enjoyed reading a good book with a glass of wine.  She was kind and generous to all who knew her. .

A visitation will be held at on Friday, September 29, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Cooney Funeral Home 625 Busse Hwy, Park Ridge. Funeral Saturday 9:30am prayers going to 10:00 am Mass at Immaculate Conception Parish located at 7211 W.
