Mary Lou Jones (nee Konitzer) of Sun City, Arizona died December 16, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Margaret Konitzer (nee Deremore), beloved husband, Robert (Bob) Jones, her brother John (Molly) Konitzer, her sister, Kathleen (John) Gillespie, and her daughter, Janet Mary. She is survived by her Beloved Sister who was her best friend Rita (Dick) Jacks. Mary Lou was a beautiful and loving mother of four children, plus one. Michael (Pat) Jones, Daniel (Linda) Jones, Margaret Jones, and Susan (Brad) Vasser. As well as Eileen Appelhans, who was very much like her own daughter; loving grandmother of 6, great grandmother of 6, and dear Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Mary Lou was born on October 26, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois, where she married Bob at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Mary Lou and Bob resided in Chicago, where they raised their family and were active members of their Parish, St. Andrews. Mary Lou and Bob moved to Arizona in 1990 to fulfill Bob's dream.  Unfortunately, he only lived for six months leaving Mary Lou missing him daily, and to carry on alone these last 29 years. Mary Lou was very involved in her community in Arizona and was a member of St. Joachim Parish where she also was a member of St. Anne's Sodality.  She worked at Sun Valley lodge for several years as an Activity director. She truly loved her residents and even after retiring, assisted many of the residents in their homes. Mary Lou made many lifelong friendships in Arizona. She will be dearly missed. A funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at St. Andrew Catholic Church at 3546 N.
