Mary Louise Lydon (nee Genette), age 85, died peacefully in her home in Elk Grove Village on November 13, 2016; beloved wife of the late Daniel P. Lydon; loving mother of Fr. Daniel C.S.V., Patricia, John (Carol) and Stephen (Jane); loving grandmother of Mary Claire, Timothy, Daniel, Therese and Joseph; sister-in-law of the late John Lydon, the late Sr. Mary Lydon S.C., late Sarah (Frank) Chambers.  Born in Chicago in 1931, Mary Louise was the beloved daughter of the late Ellen T. Greene and late Arthur Genette; dear stepdaughter of the late Walter Koseba.  She was a graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes Grade School (1945), St. Gregory High School (1949) and DePaul University.  Mary and her husband, Dan, were among the first residents of Elk Grove Village and founding members of Queen of the Rosary Parish.  Visitation at Cooney Funeral Home. 3918 W. Irving Park Rd., Chicago, on Wednesday, November 16, 3 - 9 pm.
