Mary E. Costales (August 21, 1949 - September 24, 2022) age 73 passed away in Naperville, IL surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Frederick (Fred) Costales, mother of Frederick II and Marianne (Ramiro) Costales-Roman; proud and cherished grandmother of Janea, Selena-Gloria and Vanessa. Mary was born to Joseph Cano and the late Dolores Cano (Benavidez) in Zeeland, Michigan. She was the eldest of five children, including herself, Angie (Jerry) Lange, the late Joey Cano, the late David Cano and Elizabeth (Jesse) Sandoval. Mary was a loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews as well as a "mom" to many family friends. She was a woman whom was an advocate for her special needs son and inspired others to put special education in Chicago as a necessity and right. Mary will be remembered for her strength and determination when faced with adversity. She will be deeply missed but will live in the memories and hearts of all whom she touched.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 4th, from 3 P.M. - 8 P.M. at Midtown Funeral Home & Cremation Options (Cooney Funeral Directors), 3918 Irving Park Rd, Chicago, IL.
