Mary Carol Palmer (Burns) 88, of Chicago and Naples, FL passed away at home June 25, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jim and daughter Peggy. She is survived by her children Kathleen (Will) Isherwood, Maureen (Pat) McCracken, Bill (Peg), Jim (Diana) and Mike (Michele). She was a loving grandmother to 17 and proud Nana to 12 great-grandchildren. Carol was a vibrant and active woman who enjoyed travel, golf and competitive Bridge. She loved spending time with family and friends in both Chicago and Naples. She was devoted to Misericordia Home which provided a loving home for her Peggy for 40 years. Our mother showed incredible strength and courage as she battled Corticobasal Syndrome and we are grateful she is now at peace.  A memorial service for both Carol and Jim will be held on Monday, July 11th at St. Juliana Church, 7400 Touhy Ave., Chicago. Visitation 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Mass at 10:30 a.m.
