Martha Hulak

Martha Hulak age 101 passed away on April 23, 2026 surrounded by her family.

Martha was born August 5th 1924 near Poltava, Ukraine by her parents Michael and Eudokia. They lived in Ukraine during World War II, where they were displaced to Germany. Her son George was then born in Munich Germany. Once liberated Martha, her husband Anton and George immigrated to the United States in 1951. Later residing in Chicago, IL. This is where her second son William was born. Martha started her career with Simpson Electric where she worked for 40 years and later retired. At that point she lived in Park Ridge and pursued her passion for gardening. During that time she would enjoy the company of her grandchildren Steven and David when they visited frequently. Later taking care of and enjoying the company of William's children, Tricia and Michael. She led a happy and fruitful life. Although she was stubborn at times, she always was in the best interest of the family. Martha had a great sense of humor and a razor sharp wit. She always did her best to look after her family and made sure that all were cared for. Although she could be blunt/direct at times, through that she possessed a large loving heart.

Martha is survived by her son William Hulak, Grandchildren Trisha, Michael, Steven, David ,Richard, Trini, Great grandchildren Tim, Justin, Jennifer, Elizabeth, Emmit, Jon.

She is preceeded in death by her parents Michael and Eudokia Kosyk, her borther Wasyl "Uncle Bill" (the late Lyna) Kosyk and her son George Hulak.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday April 28rd from 10:00 a.m. till the time of the service at 12:00 p.m. at Cooney Funeral Home. 625 Busse Hwy, Park Ridge IL. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove IL.
