Proud grandmother of Bridget and Jack Pembroke and James and Mary Clare Nagai. Adored daughter of the late Mabel (nee Furlong) and the late William R. Heffernan. Dear sister of the late William R. Heffernan Jr. and the late Rose Mary Falkenstein. Doting aunt of William R. (Amy) Heffernan III, Sandra (Brian) Caslis, Glenn Heffernan, Cathleen Falkenstein Yeisley and the late Claudia and the late Michael (Sonia) Falkenstein.

Proud graduate of Notre Dame High School '43 and DePaul University '48. Former Chicago Public School teacher. Long time parishioner of St. Margaret Mary serving as Den Mother, School Board Member, President of Women's Guild, Minister of Communion. Former ACCW and Vicariate II board member and 30-year volunteer at St. Francis Hospital. Die-hard fan of the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Blackhawks, and the DePaul Blue Demons.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Cooney Funeral Home located at 625 Busse Hwy. in Park Ridge. Funeral Monday, family and friends are asked to meet at St. Paul of the Cross Church for Mass at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, Masses in Marilyn's name are appreciated. Interment private.
