Moriarty, Madeline (nee Moffat), Chicago, IL passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of the late James (Jimmy) Moriarty (retired CPD). Loving mother of James Jr. Ret. CPD (Maria), Eileen, Maureen, William Ret. CPD (Tricia), Kathleen Ret. CPD, Colleen (Fast Eddie McAteer) Kevin Ret. CPD (Kathleen) and Patrick Ret. CCSO (Sonia CPD). Grandmother of 14 loving and precious grandchildren, John (Kinga), Michael, Daniel (Kyla), Nicholas CFD (Tessa), and Gina Moriarty, Grace, Billy, and Ann Madeline Moriarty, Claire, Patrick CPD (Kylee CPD), Kate CPD, and Sean Moriarty, Colm and Padraig Moriarty, and Bridget McAteer. Great-grandmother to Arthur James, Elliot Charles, Mae Rose and baby Moriarty and Quinn Elizabeth Moriarty and Sophia Andres. Fond Aunt of many nieces and nephews.She was a gift to all and especially cherished and loved as a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt.Daughter of the late William (Fred) Moffat Katherine (nee Lynch). Sister "Sissy" of the late Katherine (Frank) Cunningham, the late Donna (Thomas) Gough, the late Mary (Robert Dunphy), the late William (Sue) Moffat Jr.Retired from Kraft Foods (Executive Administrative Director), Committed & loyal supporter of the Emerald Society of Illinois (Presidential Award Recipient), Member of the St Thecla Woman's Council.Services will be held at Cooney Funeral Home, 625 Busse Highway, Park Ridge, IL on Wednesday, November 5 from 3:00-9:00pm. Friends to gather at St. Juliana Church on Thursday, November 6 , for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Mass is be live streamed at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vCoAqHbwIQ0 Interment All Saints Cemetery.For info call Cooney Funeral Home at 847-685-1002 .In lieu of flowers, Masses or Donations to the Chicago Police Chaplains Ministry appreciated.
