Lawrence "Larry" W. Scafide

"Larry" Lawrence Wayne Scafide Passed away on June 6, 2026. He was born on June 21, 1951. Larry was born and raised in Chicago, IL. Growing up and throughout adulthood Larry was known as the guy with the biggest, most giving heart. He was the person that you called when you needed help in the middle of the night. He would be there in a moment's notice and give you the last dollar in his pocket if needed. He always gave generously of his time, his energy and his heart. The countless friends, family members and lives he touched throughout the years are a testament to the caring, selfless person he was. Larry's many affiliations included Morton Grove Moose Lodge, Moose Riders, Toys for Tots, and Patriot Guard. Those who knew Larry knew the only love that rivaled that of his wife, Deb, was his love of motorcycles, riding and food.

Larry was preceded in death by his wife of 22 years Deborah Scafide, his parents Michael & Pauline Scafide; and his brother, Michael Scafide.

Larry is survived by his daughter and daughter-in-law, Lisa & Kara Rau, his brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Kathy Scafide, and too many friends to count that considered him family.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday June 11, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00p.m. Words of remembrance and a blessing will be 6:30p.m. at Cooney Funeral Home 625 Busse Hwy Park Ridge IL.
