Kate McNeill (Camarano), age 42, beloved wife, mother, daughter sister and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, following complications from a surgical procedure. Kate was the loving and dedicated wife of Robert McNeill and the cherished mother of six children: Mia (17), Connor (17), Sam (15), Lincoln (12), Huck (9), and Isla (7). She was the anchor in her family, embodying quiet strength, unconditional love, and unwavering devotion. Kate's love for her children was immeasurable, and she poured her heart into nurturing and guiding them through each stage of their lives. Kate's career at Zillow was a perfect fit - she helped to support, guide, and encourage top agents to reach their goals and beyond. Her role was not just a job-it was a calling, and she embraced it with the same warmth and selflessness that defined her approach to motherhood and friendship. Her motto was always "What can I do to help" - a testament to her desire to uplift and care for those around her. Kate was slated to be presented with an award next week for her outstanding job performance, and Zillow is honoring her memory by naming an award after her which will be given to an employee that honors her spirit by delivering excellence. In the community, Kate was known as a "behind the scenes" force to be reckoned with. She believed in lifting others up, offering support without being asked, and never expecting recognition in return. Her quiet, steadfast presence and her ability to make others feel valued and supported spoke volumes about her character. Known for her irreverent sense of humor, Kate could light up the room and bring joy to those who knew her. Her presence was magnetic, and her ability to make every moment meaningful is something those closest to her will carry with them forever. Kate was the beloved daughter of Anne and Gary Camarano, big sister of Lee (Milli) and Garrett. She was deeply loved by her family, who were constantly inspired by her strength, intelligence, and loving spirit. Though Kate's time on earth was tragically short, the impact she made will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her love will continue to guide her children in the years to come, as they carry her legacy of strength, kindness and humor forward. A celebration of Kate's life will take place on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 3:00- 8:00pm- Service will be held at 7:00pm- at Cooney Funeral Home, 625 Busse Hwy, Park Ridge, IL 60068. Kate's body, per her request, has been donated to medical science.
