Joseph W. Madden Jr. – 79, beloved husband of 51 years to the late Kathleen Rita (nee Kerrott); loving father of two daughters, Elizabeth (Martin) McDonnell and Jennifer Oberheide;  proud and  cherished grandfather of 12; Katie, Clare (Mike) Kalimuthu, Tommy, Marty (Jenna), Jack, Joe and Patrick McDonnell, also Janey, Julia, Jenna, Jaclyn and Jessica Oberheide and great-grandfather of Madden McDonnell; dear brother of John (Sophia), Mary (John) Rooney, James (Leslie) and Maggie O'Connor; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.  After graduation Fenwick H.S., he attended the University of Notre Dame and graduated in 1958.  After college he served in the U.S. Army Reserves for six years.  In 1971 he started Commercial Carpet Cleaners, a successful business he maintained for 40 years until his retirement in 2012.  In lieu of flowers donations to Misericordia (6300 N. Ridge, Chicago IL 60660) would be appreciated.
