JOSEPH P. HECK, 95 of Dubuque, formerly of Glenview, Illinois died Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Stonehill Franciscan Services in Dubuque peacefully in his sleep. Visitation will be on Friday, July 12, 2013 from 3:00 – 8:00 PM at Cooney Funeral Home, 625 Busse Highway, Park Ridge, IL 60068. He was born on December 29, 1917 in Chicago, IL, son of Thomas and Anna Heck. He married Mildred Louise Haga on April 6, 1940 in Chicago, IL. He loved to play golf, to work hard and to dig swimming pools. He worked for Bastian and Blessing as a machine operator. He retired to Lake Havasu, AZ until health issues brought him back to the Midwest. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Louise; his daughter Joanne (Michael) Bielenda, of East Dubuque, IL; his son, James (Claudia) Heck of William's Bay, WI; 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Eleanor Miller and Mary Jane Heck and a brother, Thomas Heck.
