John "Jack" Sheridan, 86 passed away Nov. 8 2013.  Loving son of the late Austin and the late Elizabeth (nee Frain); beloved husband of the late Mary A. "Maureen" (nee Sweeney);  faithful brother of those who travelled on before him; Bill (Betty Kempe), Peggy (Eddie Ryan), Nancy (Jack Lawler), Thomas and George.  Dedicated son-in-law of the late Francis and Bridget (nee Fergus) ;  cherished father of John (Elizabeth Mason), Thomas and Mary (Bekkali); doting grandfather of Deliah and Ilas El Bekkali;  fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.  A long-time parishioner of St. Edward's, proud Veteran of WW II and Korean War; loyal member of American Legion Tattler Post 973, retiree from People's Energy, and long time friend of Bill W.  Our gratitude to Dr. McCreary and the medical teams who cared for him so well.  Visitation will be held Tuesday, Nov. 12 from 3-9 p.m. at Cooney Funeral Home 625 Busse Hwy. Park Ridge.  Funeral mass is Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 10 a.m. at St. Edward Church, 4350 W. Sunnyside, Chicago . Interment at Abraham Lincoln Cemetery. 847-685-1002
