Hie, John P. , 81, beloved husband of almost 60 years, and favorite dancing partner of Mary (nee Flynn), loving father of Patti Hie, Jeanne (John) Cavers, and Katie (Kevin) Doherty.  Preceded in death by sons John and Michael.  Proud Papa of Will (Jean) Cavers, Colleen (Aaron) Kielar, Michael and Kevin Cavers, Michael, Jack and Maeve Doherty.  Adoring Great Grandfather of Declan and Hailey Kielar. He was a proud Double Demon graduate of DePaul Academy and DePaul University.  Inductee in the 16" Inch Softball Hall of Fame, and the Illinois Football Officials Hall of Fame, and a loyal friend to many.  Longtime IHSA Softball and Football Official.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michael Flynn Hie Scholarship Fund at DePaul University, 2323 N.
