John E. Halm Jr.—57. After a 5 year battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Sullivan); loving father of John Patrick, Aidan Michael, Katherine Marie, and Patrick Sullivan; devoted son of Carolyn (Don) Winslow and the late John Halm Sr.; dear brother of the late James (Darlene), Susan (Bruce) Butchko, Karen Rhodes, and Carol Halm; cherished son-in-law to Philip and Barbara Sullivan; brother-in-law to Mary (Tony Lewsley), Kathleen (John Jackson), and Rita (Pete Dwyer) Sullivan; fond uncle of many. Graduate of Ottawa Township High School. Received Environmental Engineering Degree from Southern Illinois University and an MBA in Finance from DePaul University. Visitation Monday from 3:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Cooney Funeral Home located at 625 Busse Hwy. in Park Ridge. Funeral Tuesday, prayers at 9:30 a.m. to Our Lady of Ransom Church located at 8300 N. Greenwood Ave. in Niles for Mass at 10:00 a.m.  Interment private.
