JoAnne Festle (nee McGrath) – age 89 – passed away peacefully on March 21, 2024. Daughter of Frank D. and Mary C. McGrath. JoAnne is preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward, of 27 years, her sons John and Robert, sister Mary Lou Thompson (Donald), brothers-in law, Rev. John, Rev. Robert and Richard Festle. She is survived by her children Thomas (Jackie Hair), Mary Jo (Barbara Taylor), and James (Lisa). Beloved grandmother of Kate, Jocelyn (Loren) White, Sean, John and Matthew. Loving great- grandmother of Miles. Dear aunt of Carrie Tepper (Marc), Joanne Bauer, Kathleen Thompson, Michael Thompson (Kelly) and Joyce Haqq (David). Loving great aunt to many. JoAnne, a devout Catholic, was a longtime parishioner, volunteer and, later, an administrative staff member at Our Lady of Lourdes. In 2018, JoAnne moved from her residence on Ashland Avenue to Sedgebrook Independent Living. She enjoyed her last six years making new friends and being part of a great community. A visitation will be held Monday, March 25, 3:00 – 8:00 pm at Cooney Funeral Home located at 625 Busse Hwy in Park Ridge. A funeral service to celebrate JoAnne's life will be held Tuesday, March 26 at 10 a.m.  Family and friends are asked to meet at Our Lady of Lourdes located at 4640 N. Ashland Ave. in Chicago. Interment at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
