Joan Carol Roggatz, age 85, of Chicago, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2021 at St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo, WI.  Joan was the daughter of Robert and Helen (Peterson) Buenger and was born Sept. 7, 1935. On May 24, 1958 she was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Lawrence R. Roggatz. Their marriage was blessed with four children, Karyn, Caryl, Kristine and Robert. Joan worked as an administrative assistant for Resurrection High School for many years until her retirement in 1996. Following her retirement, she and Lawrence enjoyed many great years living on Lake Redstone in LaValle, WI. Joan liked quilting, playing golf and shopping but her greatest love was spending time with her children and grandchildren who adored and cherished her.

Joan is survived by her daughters, Karyn (Greg) Ness, Caryl (Edward) King and Kristine (Steven) Allegretti; her grandchildren, Kathryn (Joshua) Tabor, Jillian Ness, Anna Ness, Audrey Ness, Robert King, Kristen King, Lauren King, David Shaulis, Steven Shaulis and Nick (Liz) Allegretti.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence; son, Robert, and son-in-law, Vernon Shaulis.
