James B. Novello, age 79, of Des Plaines & Mt. Prospect, died Tuesday, August 11th at home with his family. Beloved husband and best friend of Louise (nee Schuler).  Loving father of Michael (Claire).  Cherished grandfather of Danielle (Matt) Bentz and James G. Novello and great-grandfather of Juliette Marie Bentz.   Dear son of the late August, Sr. and Frances (nee McManmon).  Fond brother of Thomas (Carol) Novello, Frances (the late Thomas) Aiello and the late Salvatore (the late Mary), August, Jr. (the late Georgia) and Rosemary (the late Donald) Campbell. Fond uncle to many nieces and nephews.  Graduated from St. Viator Grammer School. Member of St. Zachary Catholic Church in Des Plaines for over 50 years; on the Parish Council and taught adult RCIA.  Long-time employee at Victor-Comptometer Corp. Business manager at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Wadsworth.  Jim loved sports, travel, Schurz luncheons with buddies, winters in Florida and a life-long fan of the Blackhawks and Cubs.  Visitation at Cooney Funeral Home, 625 Busse Hwy., Park Ridge on Sunday from 3 to 8 p.m. Funeral Monday, 9:15 a.m. to St. Zachary Church in Des Plaines.  Mass at 10:00 a.m.  Internment All Saints Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Rainbow Hospice in Mt. Prospect would be appreciated.
