James Michael Monahan, devoted son of Roy V. and Kathryn V. Monahan (nee Devine); fond brother of William J. (Barbara), the late Robert V., Lois M. Hauptmann, John A., Jean R. Moses, and Sr. M. Thomas Leo Monahan OP; loving uncle of 19, great uncle and great great uncle to many; fond nephew of the late Anna M. and Thecla M. Devine of Dixon, IL. The Monahan Family were members of St. Matthias Church of Chicago for 40 years.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Cooney Funeral Home located at 625 Busse Hwy. in Park Ridge. Funeral Monday, prayers at 9:15 a.m. going to St. Lambert Catholic Church in Skokie for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Adrian Dominican Sisters at 1257 East Sienna Heights Drive, Adrian MI 49221-1793.
