Obituary

James Anthony McHale, age 64, of Chicago, Illinois suddenly passed away on June 8, 2025. Jim was the beloved husband of Therese "Teri" (nee Hirsch). Dear brother of Margaret (Peter)Erdelyi and Ed (Dorothy, nee Boac) McHale. Jim was preceded in death by his parents James and Bridget (nee O'Hara) McHale. Jim was the fond son-in-law of Ron and Nancy Hirsch. In addition to his siblings, Jim was a dedicated brother-in-law to the Hirsch family. He was a fun and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Jim was an executive in the banking industry, most recently at Beal Bank in Wilmette.  He was active in the Edison Park Community Council and St. Juliana Catholic Parish. Jim was an avid golfer who also loved his Chicago Cubs. He and Teri would take trips to see the Cubs at various baseball venues throughout the US.

Visitation with family and friends to take place on Monday, June 16 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Cooney Funeral Home, 625 Busse Hwy, Park Ridge, IL 60068.  Mass on Tuesday, June 17 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Juliana Catholic Church, 7201 N. Oketo Ave, Chicago, IL 60631.Interment will be private. Jim was loved by all who knew him and will be forever missed and will always be in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in honor of Jim's brother, Ed McHale, to Parkinson's Foundation Midwest, Donate
