James E. "Big Jim" Boyle, age 81, a legend in his own time, retired C.P.D. of 36 years, passed away on December 24, 2017 in his home surrounded by his family, beloved husband of Marjorie Boyle nee Sloan; loving father of Nancy, James, Peggy, late Michael, Katie and Bridget (Tommy) Roberts; dear grandfather of (late) Kathleen King, Seamus (Larissa) Boyle, Maggie (Keith) Gustin, Kristine (Tim) Casey, Michael Kuester , Marykate Boyle, Tommy, Joey and Marjie Roberts ; great grandfather to eight ; devoted son of the late William P. and Anna, nee McHugh; dear brother of late sister Marion (Harold) Carlson, late Sister Nancy, LCM, late brother William "Bud", (retired C.P.D.) survived by his wife Helen, late brother Monsignor Raymond, Norine (late Terence McGovern), fond brother-in-law of late Terence Sloan, late Robert Sloan and Betty Ann Kujawinski; adoring uncle to many nieces and nephews and grandnieces and nephews; loyal cousin and friend to many.  Big Jim and his colorful way with words will be missed dearly.
