Jack "MoonDog" Mooney, 75, passed away on March 7, 2023. Jack was born on May 30, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois. Beloved son of the late James and Ann Mooney; dear brother of the late Patricia, Don and Bill; loving husband of Claudia Aluise-Mooney; beloved father of Jacqueline (Mike) Wilson and Jami (Jim) Mahan; grandfather of Anthony and Kendall; fond brother-in-law to Len (Terri) Aluise and Vince Aluise. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews. Jack was a friend to many and best buddy to Leo (the Lip).

He was a lifetime Elks member and a member of the Jeffersonian. He was a devoted civil servant of the City of Chicago and diehard Cubs fan.

A memorial Mass will be held on Monday, March 27, 10:30 a.m. at St. Pascal Catholic Church located at 3935 N. Melvina Ave. in Chicago. Interment private.
