Hildegard Marqui passed into eternal life on May 1st, 2023. She was born on October 11, 1936. She was the beloved wife of Johann Marqui. Loving mother of Charlotte DeVito, Hans Peter Marqui and Annemarie McCarthy. She is admired and adored and loved by her grandchildren Paul Marqui, Helena Marqui, Julianna Marqui, Brittany Laskowski, Bryanna McCarthy, Eric DeVito and Sieanna DeVito. Hildegard was born in Romania. She was the second oldest of three; her brother Anton Klein and Irene Srebnicki. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a hard-working, caring and devoted person who cared about people, life, and family. She always kept the family together in good times and bad. Her door was always open to anyone who came to see her.

She was the mother-in-law of Anthony McCarthy and Thomas DeVito.

She loved taking care of her husband and other family members. Her kindness and compassion will be deeply missed. She always enjoyed the holidays and the times she spent with her family, birthdays , graduations and other special events, especially her 60th wedding anniversary and her husbands 90th birthday. She enjoyed traveling to Linz, Austria. It was an honor to have been loved by her and the examples she taught us and continues to guide us now and forever.

She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Cooney Funeral Home located at 625 Busse Hwy. in Park Ridge. Funeral Thursday, prayers at 9:30 a.m. going to Our Lady of Ransom Church for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment Maryhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the American Cancer Society in memory of Hildegard Marqui.
