George Hurley, 86, died peacefully in his sleep Saturday, April 8, 2017 in San Clemente, California. Born in Cork City, County Cork, Ireland, he is survived by his beloved wife Mary (nee Ryan) of 63 years; children Mary (the late Tony), Arthur (Laura), Christopher (Victoria), and Ann (Mike); sister Helen (Charles) Goulet and brother Stephen Hurley; grandchildren Christina (Jay), Michelle (Troy), Lisa (Anthony), Kate (T.J.), Nick, Kevin, Alexis, Colin, Ian, and Liam; great-grandchildren Anthony, Ryan, Kylie, and Lucas; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Christopher and Mary, brothers Daniel and Joseph, and sister Nancy (Crilly). Visitation is Monday, 3:00-9:00 p.m. at Cooney Funeral Home, 625 N. Busse Hwy., Park Ridge. Funeral mass is Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. at St. Isaac Jogues Church, 8149 W. Golf Rd., Niles. Interment at All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital are appreciated.
