George William Gibisch, born May 8, 1923, died peacefully at the old age of 94, in Anderson, SC, Dec. 14, 2017. Preceded in death by his wife Ruth. He is survived by his brother, James (Shirley), sons Philip (Cheryl) and James, grandchildren Christopher, Jeffrey (Elizabeth), Corey and Jennifer, and great-grandchildren Kody Erwin, Lana and Emory Gibisch. George served in WW II during the Normandy Invasion, was a lifelong member of the Plumbing Union 130, and was a great father and grandfather. He will forever be remembered and missed by all.   Visitation Thursday Dec 28 from 4 – 9 PM at Cooney Funeral Home, 625 Busse Hwy, Park Ridge.
