Freda A. Neault, 98, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2026. She was born December 4, 1927, in Cave-In-Rock, IL.
She grew up on a farm in southern Illinois with her three siblings and attended a one room schoolhouse in the county and high school in town. Following WWII she moved to Chicago for work and met her husband George, from a small town in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Freda loved to read mysteries, collect cookbooks and was an excellent cook. Freda will be remembered for her warmth, generosity and devotion to her family and friends.
Freda was preceded in death by her parents, Loren & Myrtle Angleton, her three siblings and her husband George.
She is survived by her daughter, Janet (Lawrence) Van De Carr and two granddaughters Sara (Shaun) and Laura (Patrick) along with many nieces and nephews.
Freda will be laid to rest in private at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arlington Heights IL.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
