Obituary

Emmanuel Vicencio, a beloved son, nephew, cousin, and godfather to many, passed away on April 26, 2026, at the age of 57. Born in Manila, Philippines, Emmanuel moved to Chicago, Illinois, at the age of seven and later also co-resided in Memphis, Tennessee.

In a final act reflecting the way he lived his life, Emmanuel was an organ donor, giving the gift of life and hope to others even in his passing. His compassion and generosity will continue to live on through those he helped.

Emmanuel was a proud member of the Vicencio family and carried that pride in everything he did. Known for his strong work ethic and dedication, he approached life with determination and heart, earning the respect and admiration of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He was an esteemed audit and compliance leader in the healthcare industry, most recently serving as Global Compliance and Privacy Officer at ZOLL Medical Corporation. A graduate of DePaul University with a degree in Accounting and Finance, Emmanuel built a distinguished career spanning roles at United Therapeutics, Wright Medical, Siemens Healthineers, Dade Behring, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and others. He was known not only for strong mentorship, but for the meaningful friendships and lasting bonds he formed with colleagues along the way.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Emmanuel had a deep love for travel and embraced every opportunity to experience the world. He visited many countries throughout his life, finding joy in exploring new cultures and especially in discovering their cuisines. Whether enjoying fine dining or seeking out hidden, hole-in-the-wall gems, Emmanuel appreciated good food and the experiences it created, often sharing those moments with family and friends.

More than anything, Emmanuel was a deeply caring and generous person. His love for family and friends was unwavering, and he was someone others could always count on for support, laughter, kindness, and encouragement. As a godfather and mentor to many, he leaves behind a legacy of warmth, resilience, and deep devotion to those he loved.

He is survived by his mother, Emma Vicencio; extended family; and all who were blessed to know and love him.
