Edward Stanley Kocal, 96, of Chicago Illinois passed away the morning of August 23rd.  Beloved husband of the late LaVerne (nee Frederickson); Devoted father of Mary (Paul) Bauch, Shirley (Jeff) Runge,  LaVerne Kocal; Dear grandfather of Nicholas (Jordan), Matthew and John;  Loving Partner of the late Frances Planthaber; Loving son of the late Stanley and Czeslawa Kocal;   Dear brother of the late Joan (Eugene) Kidibinski. Fond uncle of many.

Navy veteran of WWII. He will be remembered and loved by all as a hardworking and dedicated family man who was very proud of his family. Ed worked for the post office in Chicago for 42 years and was very involved in the Park Ridge VFW and American Legion. He loved bowling, singing, playing pinochle, bingo and dancing (especially polka). He will be greatly missed by all.
