Dominick DelMonico passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 24, 2022. Beloved husband of Patricia "Patsi" (nee Halloran) and loving father to Dominique (Gaetano) Visconti and Sgt. Joseph DelMonico. Proud Papa to Madeline and Dominick Visconti. Dear brother to the late Patricia Perron, James, Lorraine Ann, the Late Susan Frey, the late Pete, the late Veronica Szewczyk, and Marlene.  Preceded in death by his parents, Patrick and Lorraine DelMonico. Fond son-in-law to Patrick and the late Gertrude Halloran. Cherished Uncle and Brother-in-law to many.

Dominick was born and raised in Chicago. He served on active duty with the United States Army from 1975-1978 and continued his service long after by volunteering hundreds of hours at Edward Hines Jr. Veteran's Hospital and the VFW. He met his wife Patsi shortly after leaving active duty. They raised their family and spent 39 years together. After many years working in the elevator industry, Dominick moved on to the City of Chicago Water Department where he was a proud member of LiUNA Local 1092. He retired in March, 2022. An avid outdoorsman, he loved golfing, hunting, spending time at his cabin in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and fishing at Axehead Lake every chance he got. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren, whom he adored.

He will be missed by countless friends and family.  He was truly one of a kind.  "Bada bing, bada boom!"
