Diane J Rickard (nee Wnek), 57, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2014 after a strong and courageous battle against cancer. Diane had a loving heart, a generous spirit, and timeless beauty beyond compare. She had an appreciation for all things beautiful and the happiness that life has to offer. She showed passion and true talent in her weekend treasure hunts with her husband Sean. She loved fashion and shopping with her best friend and mother Jennie. She found extreme joy and pride in the accomplishments of her son Matthew. Diane was a long-term employee of Resurrection Hospital.  Diane will be deeply missed. Diane was the beloved wife to John "Sean" Rickard, loving mother of Matthew Rickard, devoted daughter of Jenny Kazlauskas (Stramaglio) and the late Raymond Wnek, sister of Raymond Wnek, wonderful daughter-in-law to Ken and Joan Rickard, fond aunt of Brian, Eric, and Kevin Staisiunas, Jean-Paul Houed, Delia and Diana Hornik, Kaitlin and Bridgette Rickard, Madeline and Kathleen Rickard, fabulous sister-in-law to Julia & Mike Staisiunas, Chris and the late Keenan Rickard, Donna and Dave Hornik, Mary and Paul Rickard, Joan and Roger Fox, and Nancy Rickard.  She was a life long friend to Sophie Naliwajko and Mary Jane Czypura. Visitation: Sunday, November 2 from 3 pm to 8 pm at Cooney Funeral Home, 625 Busse Highway Park Ridge. Funeral Mass: Monday, November 3 at 10 am at St. Cornelius Catholic Church 5430 W.
