Dennis was born in Chicago to Carl Henning Frantsve of Surahammar, Sweden and Elizabeth Waldock Tandgredi of Milwaukee, WI. He spent most of childhood in Chicago, leaving the city he loved for a few years to attend high school in Watertown, NY before returning. He is survived by his wife, Julieta Maria (Chacόn); his children, Lisa Maria Frantsve-Little, wife of Bryan Little and mother of Alana; Julie Frantsve-Hawley, wife of Brad Hawley and mother of Mackenzie and Kyden; and Dennis Arthur Frantsve, husband of Maria de Lourdes ("Luly") Frantsve and father of Dennis, Alexandra ("Lexy"), and Camila. Having received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and an MBA from DePaul University, he was an active member of the Chicagoland printing community. He spent two decades as Executive Vice-President and General Manager of Darby Graphics in Chicago. He later operated as CEO of Avant Guard Associates in Park Ridge. Until he became ill, he continued to work in the printing field at Grace Printing and Mailing in Skokie, IL.
